Short Bio:

I grew up in my home city of Seattle Washington in a fairly nice neighborhood called Mt. Baker – aptly named after the nearby Mountain.  When I was young I found that I loved to sketch, and recorded little radio shows on my tape recorder with my friend Eric C.  As got a little older I discover the art of flip books and had my parents buy tons of pads from Costco so that I could make my crude drawings come to life.  Eventually my parents got a hi-8 video camera and naturally I took it over and they never got hold of it again.  I used it to make claymations and short movies with the kids around my neighborhood and found that it was something I really enjoyed doing.  At that point I thought that maybe I wanted to be a director.  As I got older and started high school I did not have as much time to make home-movies but never lost my love of creating them.  However, as timed marched on I found that my attention was slowly becoming more focused on computers and effects in movies.  After I watched “ Jurassic Park ,” I knew that the world of effects was something I wanted to be a part of.  However I did not fully realize that I wanted to be an animator until "Toy story" and the whole 3D movie movement really took off.  I think that the fact that in mixed my love of animation with the world of computers is what ultimately sparked the interest.  Since I had become so intrigued with the idea of bringing the inanimate to life, I wanted an opportunity learn how.  I have since spent the past 5 years at the Academy of Art College learning the fine arts as well as how to animate and though I graduate this May 2005, I still have a lot to learn.

Fun Stuff:

This section contains a bunch old random video projects that I did.  Most of them have nothing really to do with animation but I though I would put them up for entertainment purposes.  Just a note: most of the files are 15-30 megs.  Please right click the link, and save as

“Mitosis” 6 megs

This was an early piece I did using Macromedia’s Director.  It has a very basic story but I think it works well because of just that.

“The Entity” 16 megs

This was for an 8mm and photography class.  I like the way the action flows in this even though it doesn’t really have a point.
